Scroll down to find the bio of Yvette Marcek , who has been rated Toronto Star Readers’ Choice Best Massage Therapist. She is committed to providing each client with the best possible experience.

We provide deep-tissue massage to relieve tension, tightness and pain in your muscles. We also provide Swedish massage to promote relaxation, wellness and improve circulation. Massage can also be part of your regular stress management routine. Most sessions incorporate a blend of both deep-tissue and relaxation techniques.

The right amount of massage pressure for you

Quite often, we see new clients who express that they haven’t had massage in a long time. They were not happy with their previous experience at another studio or clinic. There are varying factors, but usually it was due to the pressure. Sometimes the pressure was too light. Most of the time, it was because the pressure was too deep and rigorous. They didn’t feel at ease during the massage, or better afterwards.

If this has been your experience, rest assured our massage therapists will work with you to ensure you are comfortable and the pressure is just right for you. This can be light pressure, deeper pressure or anything in between. Open communication is encouraged while you are receiving the massage.

Massage Therapy in Toronto

Who should have massage therapy?

Lifestyle and work habits directly affect the quality of our health. All of us will experience physical, mental or emotional stress. Stress is one of the most pervasive side-effects of our fast-paced 21st century living. Prolonged stress has been documented as a significant contributing factor causing “dis-ease”, which is an expression of the body/mind out of balance.

Our RMTs use various techniques to target specific areas of the body. These include the neck, shoulders, back and legs. We can also work on the whole body holistically. Massage Therapy is a highly effective complimentary health care modality.

Time to relax and enjoy quiet

Massage is your time to relax, tune out and shut-off. Our massage therapists respect your time for quiet and stillness. Massage is a time for restoration. If you have questions about your health, wellness and massage goals, please ask at any time during the massage. You can be assured that our massage therapists respect that this is also your quiet time.

What happens during a session?

Yvette Marcek Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Welcome to a unique and restorative massage experience.

Yvette is a senior massage therapist with over two decades of experience. She graduated from Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto and has worked/volunteered/lived abroad in Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, Italy and Bali.

She was voted Best RMT in Toronto for the Toronto Star Readers’ Choice Awards 2019.

Her therapeutic approach is client-focused. She sees her role as being a conduit for achieving your optimum health. She describes her style as restorative therapeutic massage. She combines deep tissue with relaxation techniques. She finds that focusing on affecting the nervous system holistically, is extremely effective in facilitating healing for the body+mind+spirit.

Along with classical massage therapy techniques, she may use Reiki, breathwork and imagery, coaxing the nervous system out of the ‘fight or flight’ stress state and into the ‘rest and digest’ healing state. This supports your body’s natural capacity to heal itself.

By attending to your nervous system, the heart rate slows and muscle tension starts to ease. She has found this very effective with various conditions, from tension headaches to IBS.

She works in conjunction with your existing health care team, whether that be your doctor, physiotherapist, chiropractor or acupuncturist. She has built a trusted referral community with her health professional peers.

Her clientele is diverse, ranging from infants to seniors. Her experience covers a wide range of client concerns, including acute and chronic injuries, prenatal massage, stress management, pain management, overall wellness and self-care.

She is a lifelong learner and seeker, with a keen interest and dedication to her own personal growth and healing. Her education and training includes: University of Waterloo, Reiki Level 1, Stott Mat Pilates, Vipassana 10-Day Course, Hypnotherapy, Trauma-Informed Bodywork, and she is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, having taught parents and caregivers in groups and private workshops around the GTA, Bali & Italy.
